  • Laura:

Nice site, and even nicer guitars!

  • Stanko from Zurich, Switzerland:

I bought a 1979 SG at ‘Vintage Vibe’ during a holiday in Summer 2010. This has become my main guitar. this instrument has a good portion of Vibe for me because it’s simply a great sounding instrument and I loved spending a few hours in the store. Meeting Kevin with his dogs made this a mermorable experience that never found in a chain type store. We will certainly come back when we’re in SF again.

Super cool site Kevin , lots and lots of cool guitars to drool over…
    I want to buy a hollowbody soon…
Thank you for a great guitar site…

  • I have known Kevin for many years. Kevin’s passion for these vintage guitars has always been clear. He has an eye for things of beauty that most of us would simply pass by. These vintage guitars by lesser known names like Kay, Silvertone and Harmony are fine instruments and extremely good values. Kevin does the hard work of finding these old treasures and bringing them back to life. Every time I visit SF I end up spending a day with Kevin where he lets me play his guitars graciously. He’ll do the same for you. Stop by his shop when you are in San Francisco and put a piece of wood with history and character into your hands. You’ll love it. Thanks, Kevin for everything.

While Fender and Gibson are the most iconic American guitars today, the real dream guitars carry more humble names like Kay, Harmony, Silvertone and Old Kraftsman. These catalog guitars of the '50s an '60s are the guitars of our dreams, and our store is the place where those dreams come true!
